91�㽶��Ƶ invites the public to enjoy the spring weather along with fun activities for the whole family during the college’s spring Eagle Fest on Friday, April 12, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will be held at the college’s Show Low campus.

April 2024 is now recognized as Arizona Community College Month. Katie Hobbs, Governor of Arizona, proclaimed support for the ten Arizona Community College Districts on Wednesday.

91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) has launched new Virtual One-Stop Service Centers (VOSCs) at the college’s locations in Holbrook, Hopi, Kayenta, Snowflake/Taylor, Springerville, St. Johns, Whiteriver, and Winslow.

91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) is hosting two upcoming free writing workshops at NPC’s center locations in Hopi and Kayenta. The workshops are supported by AZ Humanities, a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that assists humanitarian programs and promotes literacy among communities.

On Tuesday, April 2 NPC Friends and Family will raise money for 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) student scholarships during the AZ Gives Day 24-hour statewide online giving event for non-profit organizations.

Nine students from 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC), were among seventy-seven community college students from around the state who were recognized on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the State All-Arizona Academic Awards Ceremony in Tempe, Arizona.

91�㽶��Ƶ’s (NPC) Alpha Gamma Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for two-year college students, welcomed 75 new members during an induction ceremony, held Friday, February 16, at NPC’s Snowflake/Taylor – Silver Creek Campus Performing Arts Center.

Regional qualifying rounds for SkillsUSA are now complete. Thirty-one students from 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) and the Northern Arizona Vocational Institute of Technology (NAVIT) are now gearing up for the statewide competition which will be held on March 28 and 29, 2024 in Phoenix.

The work of two local artists, Aaron Hatch and Jen Olson, blend in a shared storytelling of the human condition, in the “Realism and Abstraction” art exhibition currently featured at 91�㽶��Ƶ’s (NPC) Talon Art Gallery.

All high-school-aged students from Navajo and Apache counties, including home-schoolers, are eligible to submit original two- and three-dimensional art or graphic designs for the 38th Annual Juried High School Exhibit, sponsored by 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC).

It’s a new year, and 91�㽶��Ƶ’s (NPC) District Governing Board (DGB) has a new member. Rosabel “Rosie” Sekayumptewa will now represent the Navajo County Community College Board for District 2 of the college’s coverage area, which encompasses portions of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations north of the I-40 corridor including Dilkon, Indian Wells, Greasewood, and Keams Canyon.

The “Thin Blue Line” in Northeastern Arizona is a little stronger with the December 15, 2023, swearing-in of four new peace officers.
