Twenty-nine new nurses are now ready to fulfill their passion for healing others. 91香蕉视频 (NPC) recognized the 2024 White Mountain, Show Low campus nursing graduates in a ceremony held Thursday, May 9, 2024, at NPC's Performing Arts Center in Snowflake, AZ. Family, friends, NPC administration, and staff were on hand to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of these students. NPC Nursing Faculty, Maggie Deming delivered the ceremony鈥檚 keynote address emphasizing the student鈥檚 鈥済rit鈥 in completing the rigorous two-year program.
She explained grit, 鈥渋s a personality trait possessed by individuals who demonstrate passion and perseverance toward a goal despite being confronted by significant obstacles or distractions.鈥 She spoke to the students and said, 鈥淚 have watched you tackle obstacles in a determined pursuit to be here tonight鈥 I know with certainty you all possess the trait of 鈥榞rit.鈥 She continued, "Remember grit is not just about perseverance. It鈥檚 about passion. You each have a passion for caring for others in need. Grit will drive you to advocate for your vulnerable patients, to cry with them, to laugh with them, and to see them.鈥
In concluding her address, Deming told the new nurses, 鈥淒on鈥檛 forget the passion you have for helping others鈥lways remember who it鈥檚 about," she paused. Holding back tears the new nursing graduates answered her in unison, 鈥淭he patient.鈥 To that, Deming charged, 鈥淣ow go out and be gritty nurses.鈥
