Over forty students and staff from across 91�㽶��Ƶ took to the streets, roads, and wide-open spaces in observance of Earth Day, April 22, on a mission to make a difference, no matter how large or small.

The Navajo County Community College District Governing Board (DGB), which oversees 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC), adopted a preliminary 2025-2026 budget at its April 15 meeting. Several key items were highlighted for the upcoming fiscal year. The initiatives emphasize the college’s commitment to helping students, employees, and the communities it serves.

91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) Performing Arts Department is proud to present Robert Harling’s theatrical classic Steel Magnolias beginning Friday, April 4, 2025, at the college’s Performing Arts Center in Snowflake, Arizona.

91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) invites the public to enjoy the spring weather along with fun activities for the whole family during the college’s spring Eagle Fest on Wednesday, April 9, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at NPC’s Silver Creek campus in Snowflake/Taylor, AZ.

Regional qualifying rounds for SkillsUSA are now complete. Thirty-five students from 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) and the Northern Arizona Vocational Institute of Technology (NAVIT) are now gearing up for the statewide competition which will be held on April 22 and 23 in Phoenix.

91�㽶��Ƶ’s Fine Arts department is pleased to announce a special visit and demonstration by artist José Martinez on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the college’s Show Low campus, Aspen Center, room 104.

On Tuesday, April 1 NPC Friends and Family will raise money for 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) student scholarships during the annual statewide 24-hour AZ Gives Day online giving event for non-profit organizations.

91�㽶��Ƶ’s (NPC) Alpha Gamma Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for two-year college students, welcomed 54 new members during an induction ceremony held Friday, February 21, at NPC’s Snowflake/Taylor – Silver Creek Campus Performing Arts Center.

Eight students from 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC), were among sixty-eight community college students from around the state who were recognized on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the State All-Arizona Academic Awards Ceremony in Gilbert AZ.

All high-school-aged students from Navajo and Apache counties, including homeschoolers, are eligible to submit original artwork for the 39th Annual Juried High School Exhibit, sponsored by 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC).

Tuition waivers, valued at over $20,000, have been awarded to eight students from 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC), to complete their bachelor’s degrees at one of Arizona’s three public universities.

This spring, 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) is once again offering an opportunity for students to obtain both their High School Equivalency (such as the ®GED) and prepare for certification and licensure as a nursing assistant at the same time. Best of all, it is free of charge.

In an innovative move to provide workforce readiness skills and a path to industry-recognized certification in the construction field, 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) is launching a new core Construction Integrated Education and Training (CON-IET) pathway at the college’s location in Whiteriver, AZ, this spring.

True to their class motto of “Doing Whatever It Takes (no excuses, no exceptions) to Just Get It Done,” ten cadets earned their official badges during a swearing-in ceremony on December 13, 2024.

Students from 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) were recognized for their achievements in a ceremony held on December 11 at the Performing Arts Center at the Snowflake campus.

91�㽶��Ƶ will hold auditions for the spring production of Steel Magnolias on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center located on the Snowflake/Taylor—Silver Creek Campus, 1611 S. Main St. Callbacks will be Thursday, January 16.

The overall competition for spring 2025 scholarships from NPC Friends and Family (NPCFF), the nonprofit that supports students at 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC), has resulted in over $56,000 in awards.

A six-month nationwide search to fill the role of president at 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) has successfully ended. At a special meeting on Monday, Nov. 25, the Navajo County Community College District Governing Board approved a contract with Dr. Von Lawson, naming him as NPC’s next president. He will start at the college on January 1.

91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) is proud to announce that thirty-seven students enrolled in NPC’s nursing program during the 2024 academic year have successfully passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) on their first try.

91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) Performing Arts Department is proud to present The Secret Garden, a charming musical based on the beloved classic children’s novel of the same name, beginning Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the college’s Performing Arts Center, located in Snowflake, Arizona.

The public is invited to join 91�㽶��Ƶ (NPC) for a meal that will nourish the body and warm the soul while fighting hunger in our community.
