1.0 Scope
Students, Staff, and/orFaculty involved in Student Government.
2.0 Purpose
Establish oversight by the Student Government Association.
3.0 Definitions
3.1 Dean of Student Services (DofSS): College administrator designated by the Vice President for Learning and Student Services for oversight and administration of the Student Government Association.
4.0 Procedure
The Dean of Student Services (DofSS), or designee, may establish a Student Government Association(SGA). Such an organization will be governed by the DofSS, or designee, with an approved constitution.
The SGA shall provide oversight and direction for student clubs and organizations to ensure the success of activities and events, coordinating such events and activities through an official calendar. Any student, faculty, or staff who wishes to start a student club or organization may do so by following the process identified by the SGA in their bylaws. This process can be initiated by contacting the SGA President or Advisor.
